SPOONER, WI – On Thursday, August 7, 2025, the Volunteers of Spooner Health delivered donations of personal hygiene products to two local food pantries: the Washburn County Food Pantry and the Lakeland Pop Up Pantry.
This donation is one of many initiatives the Volunteers of Spooner Health organize each year to support both Spooner Health and the broader community. During their annual meeting in April, the group planned a full calendar of events, donations, and service activities for the year.

Throughout the year, the volunteers contribute their time and energy in a variety of ways, including staffing American Red Cross blood drives at Spooner Health, operating the hospital gift shop, greeting and escorting patients, coordinating the Volunteers of Spooner Health Scholarship Program, and facilitating donations for hospital and community initiatives.
Volunteers, Beth Burnham and Kathy Laird, assisted with deliveries to local food pantries.
The Volunteers of Spooner Health extend their sincere gratitude to the community for its continued support. It is through the generosity of local residents that these impactful contributions are possible.
