In Memory of Yvonne F. Ingram
Yvonne Faye Ingram (Rud), age 86, of Osceola, WI, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 18, 2024 after a courageous battle of dementia.
Yvonne was born to Paul and Ethel Rud (Schmidt) on March 29, 1938 in East Farmington. She graduated from Osceola High School in 1956. Yvonne married the love of her life, Louie on September 20, 1958 and supported him during his 21 years of service in United States Air Force. Yvonne was blessed with three children, Terry, Jody and Scott.
In her younger years, Yvonne had a love for horses and was a member of the Dalles Saddle Club. She and her horse Fire took first place in barrel racing at the Minnesota State Fair in 1954. She and Fire had the privilege of carrying the American flag in honor of the grand opening of the bridge on 243 in 1955. Yvonne was a faithful fan and score keeper for Louie and their sons during their fast pitch softball and baseball games/tournaments. In 2009, Yvonne and Louie served as Grand Marshall’s in the Osceola Parade.
Yvonne excelled in every aspect of her life from teaching ceramics at her shop (Cracked Pot Ceramics), competing in golf and bowling leagues where she flourished as Women’s Club Champion at Krooked Kreek Golf Course for a total of 11 years, 10 of which were consecutive years and she held Women’s High Average for bowling for many years as well.
Yvonne enjoyed doing embroidery sewing and making quilts and blankets for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her favorite thing to do was to cook (too much food) for her family during the holidays and on special occasions. Yvonne’s true joy was spending time with or taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Yvonne is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Louie, children Terry (Debbie), Jody (Bobby), 5 grandchildren, Kristi (Daren), Melissa (Andrew), Brody (Paige), Tyler and Joanna, along with 10 great grandchildren, brother Don (Andrea) Rud and brother-in-law Ed Gear.
Yvonne was preceded in death by her son Scott (Hard Rock), who passed away in April 1984; brother John Rud, sister Joan Gear, sister-in-law Barb Rud, nephews Justin Rud and Ken Silvey, great nephew Weston Rud, father and mother Paul and Ether Rud.
