In Memory of Williard Lang

May 26, 1929 - December 6, 2020

Willard Floyd "Bill" Lang, 91, of Cumberland died peacefully at his daughter’s home, on December 6, 2020. He was born May 26, 1929 in St. Paul, MN to August and Marie (Reese) Lang.

He was married on October 20, 1956 to Lois Gullickson. Beyond their 32-year marriage, they cared for each another and shared a love for their family.

Bill was an adored father, grandfather, brother, uncle, neighbor guy, friend, and to some, a partner in crime. He remained forever young at heart, waking up every day whistling and enjoying that day as the gift it was. He always had a joke or a good story to share. He could talk for hours about his love of the “wild west” and his passion for old guns or his prized Marilyn Monroe collection. He was a great cocktail mixer and an entertaining fire pit dancer. And though his tongue could be as sharp as his whit, he was kind, thoughtful, and caring. He was one of a kind, and will leave his mark in our lives and on our hearts forever.

He is survived by ex-wife, Lois Lang, of Rockford, IL; siblings: Jim Lang of New Brighton, MN; children: Renee Lang of Conway, PA, Robert (Barb) Lang of Chili, WI, Rachelle (Randy) Kaltenberg of Lodi, WI, Ranita Jochim of Chili, WI, and Randee Lang (Dan Yurek) of Rockford, IL; grandchildren: Cody Petersen, Cheyenne Petersen, Josh Greisbach, Jud Lang, Sadee Lang, Shawna Plendl, Nick Kaltenberg, Bradey (Ashley) Bauman, Ryley Jochim, Austin Jochim; three step-great grandsons; one great-granddaughter; former son-in law and friend, Phil Petersen of FL; and many other family and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Bud Lang, Doris Doriott, Virginia Lara, Richard Lang, Bob Lang, Don Lang, and Evelyn Bohn.

Funeral services will be held in Spring 2021 at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Skinner Funeral Home of Cumberland is serving the family.
