William “Bill” Edward Julson Sr., 94, formerly of Inver Grove Heights, MN and Cumberland, WI was ushered into Heaven on Sept. 10, 2023 at The Deerfield in New Richmond, WI.

He was born March 27, 1929 in St. Paul, MN to Melvin and Mabel (Schroeder) Julson.

He was married in St. Paul, MN on October 11, 1952 to Carol E. Nelson who preceded him in death on November 20, 2018.

Bill loved visiting with his family and friends and making memories at the farm, was an active church member, and enjoyed reading. He also enjoyed following the Minnesota Twins and Vikings. He was retired from BNRR in 1984 as manager of computer operations.

He will be greatly missed by his six children; Candace Torgerson (the late Brian), Sue, Bill (Cheryl), Tom (Deb), Linda (Chuck) Kukacka and Greg (Tanya); 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Carl and Doris Nelson and Robert and Ilene Ostenson; and many nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by wife of 66 years, Carol; siblings, Dorothy Julson, Lloyd Julson, Hazel Dustin and Ilamay Jefferson.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, September 22, 2023 at First Lutheran Church - Cumberland. Burial will be in the Timberland Ringebu Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1 1/2 hours prior to the service at the church.

Skinner Funeral Home of Cumberland is serving the family.
