William I. O’Brien, age 84, a resident of Forest Lake, MN passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023.

William was born on October 7, 1938 in Grantsburg to Frances and Eileen O’Brien.

William worked in Minnesota for Local Union #539 as a pipefitter. He enjoyed throwing horseshoes, playing Bingo and cards. He always had time for fishing, hunting and making bobbers.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nora; daughter, Annette; son, Richard; sister, Frances Ann.

William will be missed by his children, Bill O’Brien, Jr., Alan O’Brien, John O’Brien, Owen V. O’Brien, and Irvin O’Brien; his grandchildren, Justin Harer, Jake Harer, Bill O’Brien, Jesse O’Brien, Timothy (Susan) O’Brien, Tony Horman, John O’Brien and Teniah Jensen; great grandchildren, Anthony R. Horman, Alliania Horman, Aaron Horman, Timothy O’Brien, Shade Jensen, Silver Jensen, Skyler Jensen, Emily O’Brien and Isaiah O’Brien; his brothers, Patrick O’Brien, Matthew O’Brien and David O’Brien; sisters Michelle Carpenter and Mayleen Trudeau; along with other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at 2:00 PM (Visitation 1-2) at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bill O’Brien, Jr., Timothy O’Brien, Billy O’Brien, Tony Horman, Jesse O’Brien and Anthony Horman.

Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster.
