In Memory of William Bowman, Jr.

January 6, 1956 - August 24, 2020

William "Bill" Parker Bowman Jr., age 64, of Spooner, Wisconsin, died suddenly in his sleep on Monday August 24, 2020.

Bill was born on January 6, 1956, in Mt. Clemins, Michigan, to William and Dorothy (Shepler) Bowman.  Bill came to Chicago when he was 7 years old with his mother and sister after his father was shipped overseas to Vietnam.  Bill spent most of his life in Chicago, working maintenance and construction, and had a passion for running professional aerial firework displays on holidays.  Bill also spent time in northern Wisconsin with family.  In 2008 Bill moved permanently to the Spooner, Wisconsin, area working house maintenance and finally working at Rocky Ridge farms.  Bill loved living the country life, hunting, fishing, his dogs (especially Diamond), music, movies, and reading; and his beloved Chicago sports teams, the Bears and the Cubs.

Bill is survived by his sister, Cheryl (Bowman) Alaniz; his nieces Audrea (Ryan) Nabor and Alexandra (Brandon) Groepper; and his step nephew and niece, Cameron and Emma Groepper.  Bill is also survived by his adopted family, Michael and Samantha Buckwheat, and his adopted grandchildren, Remington, Sheri, and Trinity Buckwheat.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Dorothy Bowman, and his brother-in-law, Arthur Alaniz.

Bill's wishes were to be cremated.  He often joked that when he died, his cremated remains should be shot into space in fireworks - the family will be working on his request and on other private memorials.
