Wendy “Zoongigaabawiikwe” Jo Merrill, 34, of Maple Plain died, December 30, 2021, at Cumberland Healthcare.

She was born November 10, 1987, in Amery, WI to Wynn and Andrea (Hart) Merrill.

She is survived by her parents, Wynn Merrill and Andrea Hart; brothers: Jackson Sr., James, Brian, and Erik; sisters: Annie, Susie, and Erica; nieces: Arnella, and Jamie; nephews: Jackson Jr., Jensen, and Jase; many aunties, uncles, and cousins.

Wendy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Eugene Hart Sr., Patsy Hart, Eugene Merrill, Leona Merrill, and Clara Beebe.

Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Maple Plain Community Center with Chato “Ombishkebines” Gonzales officiating. Burial will be in Maple Plain Reserve Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Darren Merrill, Keith Hopinka, Matthew Estebo Jr., Devin Begay, Mauricio Hart, Lester Merrill, and Steven Mallory. Honorary pallbearers are Eugene Hart, Thomas Hart, and Brandon Kohls.

Visitation will be from Saturday, January 1, 2022.
