Warren J. Walsh, age 87, of Hayward, WI passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Waters Edge Care Center in Hayward.

Warren James Walsh was born March 7, 1936, in St. Paul, MN the son of Michael and Minnie (Miteberg) Walsh.

He was raised in Beloit, IL where he graduated from high school. He continued his education at Western Illinois University in Rock Island, IL where he received a degree. After his schooling he moved to Lake Mills and then Fort Atkinson, WI. While in Fort Atkinson, Warren met Karen R. Phelps. On July 5, 1974, Warren was united in marriage to Karen in Rockford, IL. Warren went to work as a mechanical designer for Structo Grill in Pearl City, IL. He then took a job with Wagner Paint SprayTech and while working with them he lived in Big Lake, Manchester, Waverly and Waseca, MN with his family. Warren enjoyed hunting for pheasant and deer, fishing, woodworking, painting, restoring cars and trucks and working on model cars. He collected Chevrolet Corvairs throughout his life. Warren and Karen move to Hayward, WI in 2014.

Warren is survived by his wife of 49 years, Karen; six children, Steve (Jenny) Walsh of Monticello, MN, Kim (Jason) Becker of Clarks Grove, MN, Kristine (Rick) Nielsen of Milwaukee, WI, Kevin (Jennifer) Wash of Clarks Grove, MN, Donna Gross of Dodgeville, WI, Diane Walsh of Green Bay, WI; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Tony and one great grandson, Riley.

No services are planned at this time for Warren.
