In Memory of Violet Barden
Violet Rose Barden, age 92, a longtime resident of Danbury, passed away on Monday, May 31st at Maple Ridge Care Center in Spooner Wisconsin.
Violet was born February 15, 1929, to Richard and Martha Bystrom in Superior, Wisconsin.
She was the second of three daughters. The family moved to the Riverside area north of Danbury when Violet was a year old. She attended Pansy school in Swiss Township. Violet and her sisters all moved to the St. Paul area for work but would often travel home on weekends.
Violet was united in marriage to Harry F. Barden on September 26, 1959, in St. Paul Minnesota. They were blessed with two daughters, Janice and Cheryl.
Violet loved flowers and gardening and spent many hours caring for her yard, garden and many flowerbeds. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry; sisters Marjorie Ziehl and Laura Jensen, an infant brother Theodore (Teddy), and parents Richard and Martha Bystrom.
She is survived by her two daughters Janice (Richard) Improta and Cheryl (Wayne) Nutt, seven grandchildren; Evin Improta, Anna (Joshua) Pankey, Amanda Nutt, Brad (Shaina) Nutt, Bethany (Dan) Burkett, Brenna (Phillip) Preston, David Nutt; and 10 greatgrandchildren.
A visitation will be held on at 10:00 am on Friday, June 4, 2021 at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Webster with the funeral at 11:00 am.
