Viola Elsa Marie (Vollrath) Karr 94, passed away peacefully with family by her side on March 24th, 2022 in Luck, Wisconsin.

Viola was born December, 8th 1927 in Milltown, Wisconsin to August and Cora (Fahrendorff) Vollrath. After graduating from Milltown High School, she moved to St. Paul, Minnesota where she met Lawrence Karr. The two were married August 8th 1948 in Washington state while Lawrence was stationed there. In 1968, Viola, Lawrence and their son Larry moved back to Milltown.

Viola retired from Alcan sewing factory in Centuria, Wisconsin and after she spent her time traveling the world and often bringing her granddaughter with. When she was not traveling, she loved going to 500 card parties with her friend Peter Pfannes. Viola was very active in the Community, she helped out at the Milltown meal site, attended church at the Milltown Lutheran Church, and could be seen at just about any church dinner in the area.

Viola is preceded in death by, husband Lawrence Karr, her parents August and Cora Vollrath, brothers Lloyd, Ellery, Edward, and sisters Valeria and Una.

She is survived by her son Larry, Granddaughter Elizabeth, Great-Granddaughter Caitlin, and many nieces and nephews.

Please join us in a celebration of Viola Karr on Sunday May 15th at the Milltown Community center, a light lunch will be served at 1pm.

Arrangements are entrusted to Rowe Funeral Home and the Northwest Wisconsin Cremation Center in Milltown.
