Vernon W. Sigsworth, age 59 of Clayton, WI, formerly of Amery, WI, passed away peacefully at his home with his mother by his side on May 18, 2025.

Vernon Wayne Sigsworth was born on November 29, 1965 in Amery WI, the son of Gary & Judy (Samuel) Sigsworth. He spent his younger years in Amery until the family moved to Star Prairie, WI, where they owned and operated Star Prairie Bait & Tackle. Vernon liked to help his dad catch minnows with traps and deliver them to other bait stores. While in Star Prairie, Vernon was also a member of the local Boy Scout Troop where he eventually earned the level of Eagle Scout. He graduated from Amery High School in 1984. After graduation, Vernon worked at various jobs but soon realized that truck driving was to become his livelihood. He loved hauling cattle across the country and had been operating his own trucking business for the past few years. Vernon was happiest and content with his dog Butch by his side driving cattle to its destination. When he wasn’t working, Vernon enjoyed spending his time hunting and fishing with his dad and showing their dog Sam in competitions. Many hours were spent at the family cabin near Cushing, WI with family and friends. In 2003 he began having medical problems which eventually took him home to the Lord on May 18, 2025. Vernon’s loyalty and unique sense of humor will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Vernon is preceded in death by his father, Gary Sigsworth; grandparents, Charles & Doris Sigsworth and Robert & Marian Samuel;aunt, Janet Noyes; several relatives and friends.

Many Relatives, Family & Friends

Visitation on Friday, May 30, 2025 from 4 - 7 pm at the Scheuermann Funeral Home in Clear Lake, WI and an hour before the service there on Saturday.

Memorial Services will be 11 am on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at the Scheuermann Funeral Home in Clear Lake, WI.

After the Memorial Service there be a Gathering of Family and Friends for food and fellowship at the Clear Lake Chalet.

Interment - Will be at a later date at the Amery Cemetery
