In Memory of Vernon Edward Andersen
July 7, 1926 - October 21, 2018
On Sunday, October 21, 2018, Dr. Vernon Edward Andersen, loving husband and father of three passed away at 92. Vernon was born on July 7, 1926 in Minong, Wisconsin to George and Mary (La Noue) Andersen.
Vern graduated from Spooner High School in 1944 and joined the Navy at 16. Vern served in the Navy for three years, then returned back to Wisconsin and earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Superior in 1950. He graduated from the Logan Chiropractic College in 1954. Vern practiced in Boyceville and Eau Claire, Wisconsin before retiring in 1995. Across his life, he served as chairman of the Foundation of the Advancement of Chiropractic, the Dunn County Republican Party, and the Wisconsin Chiropractic Association. He was active in the Lions Club and as a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by: his wife, Connie (McGlinnen) Andersen; his children, Timothy Andersen, Mary (Andersen) Anderson, and Joseph Andersen (and his wife, Erin Skinner), seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
