Verna Theresa Milleon, 79, of Turtle Lake died , January 29, 2019 at her home. She was born December 6, 1939 in Minneapolis, MN to Donald and Verna (Solvie) Sullivan. 

She married Donald Milleon in Spirit Lake, IA in 1961. They raised their family in Minneapolis, MN, purchased a lake home on Kirby Lake near Cumberland in 1986, and retired there in 1990. She worked several years in the laundry at the St. Croix Casino in Turtle Lake. She loved to paint and garden and was a voracious reader. Verna had several dogs over the years, but her prized puppy was her Pug, Gus. 

She is survived by her children: Susan Milleon of Minneapolis, MN; David Milleon of Cumberland, Jon Milleon of Turtle Lake and Donnie Milleon of Clear Lake; granddaughter, Courteney (Kyle) Vanderhoof and their children: Jonah, Bennett and Nina; nieces, nephews and other relatives. Verna was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; her brother, Donald William Sullivan. 

There will be a gathering of family and friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday February 2, 2019 at the Skinner Funeral Home in Cumberland.
