Verna M (Holman) Dahlstrom, 86, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2024 at her home in Shell Lake, with the love and support of her family.

Verna was born on April 27, 1938, the daughter of Charles and Catherine (Des Jardins) Holman. She was united in marriage to Harry Robert Dahlstrom, Jr on December 28, 1957. They moved to the family homestead where they raised their seven children. Verna worked alongside Harry milking cows and hauling firewood.

Verna was known as the neighborhood Avon "Ding Dong" lady for almost 50 years. Always in the stands at school functions , greeter at the post office, and the friendly lady checking in voters for the elections. She always had time for a smile and a chat. Verna will be remembered for her selfless love of her family, as a dear friend, for her kindness, and always having a smile on her face.

Verna is survived by her children; Steve (Donna Meeds), Don (JoAnn), Sue (Wayne) Pearson, Sally, Bruce (Yvonne), JoAnne (Brad) Melton, and Dave (Vanessa), 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Her brother, Bill (DiDi) Holman, many nieces and nephews, and many lifelong friends.

Verna was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Robert Dahlstrom, Jr, and her parents.
