Valborg B. Shipley, age 96, of Dallas, WI died Saturday, September 9th, 2023 at Our House Assisted Living in Rice Lake.

She was born August 1st, 1927 to George & Ingeborg (Thue) Olson at Chetek, WI where she was raised and attended school.

She graduated from Chetek High School in 1945.  On May 16th, 1948, she was married to Louis Shipley in the Town of Dovre, WI.  The couple moved to Montana for about a year before settling in New Brighton, MN where they spent the rest of their working years. Valborg was employed with Honeywell for almost 30 years. After their retirement, the couple moved back to Dallas. She enjoyed working with arts & crafts, fishing with Louis & spending time with her family.

Valborg was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Louis on April 13th, 2012, sons: Barry & Brian Shipley, grandsons: Louis & Garrett Shipley & granddaughter: Jessica Seeker. She is survived by her son: Michael (Kathy) Shipley of Dallas, 4 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, as well as many other relatives & friends.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 23rd at Dallas Cemetery in the Town of Dallas with Rev. Sara Feld officiating.

Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Dallas & Cameron.
