In Memory of Timothy Olson
Timothy Steven Olson, age 51, from Bloomington, IL passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 11, 2019. Tim was born on April 3, 1968, to Tom and Judy (DeDominces) Olson of Cumberland, WI. Tim graduated from Cumberland High School and went on to earn a BS in Business from UW Stevens Point. Tim married the love of his life, Susan (Kohlmann) on August 21, 1993. He was the beloved father of son Tanner and daughter Sydney Olson of Bloomington, IL.
Tim was a dedicated employee of State Farm for the past 29 years. He was a hunting, fishing and outdoors enthusiast. Time spent with family and friends at the hunting cabin in Timberland, WI held a special place in his heart. He also looked forward to his annual fishing trip to Canada with cherished life long friends. Tim and Sue had planned to move to Cumberland to enjoy retirement on Beaver Dam Lake but was sadly taken before this dream could happen. He had an incredible sense of humor, was a great conversationalist, and enjoyed the simple things in life. He had a wonderful way of making all who he encountered feel warm and welcomed. Tim was a longtime member of St. Patrick’s Church of Merna, IL and lived out his faith values every day. His honesty and sincerity were what made him an incredible man to know. He, of course, was a huge Green Bay Packer enthusiast. But first and always Tim was a loving husband and devoted father and will be incredibly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Sue; children Tanner and Sydney; parents, Tom and Judy Olson; sister, Jennifer (Troy) Krueger; brothers-in-law: Tim (Linda) Faust and Mike Beck; nephews: Erik, Cody and Noah Krueger and Andrew Faust; niece, Stephanie (Robbie) Krickenberg; and many other family and friends.
