In Memory of Timothy Fiene

March 22, 1961 - December 16, 2019

Timothy “Tim” K. Fiene, age 58, of Grantsburg, passed away suddenly on December 16, 2019.

Tim was born on March 22, 1961, in Pine River, MN, to parents, Marion (Lindquist) and Kenneth Fiene. He attended Pine River High School up to the 10th grade (leaving in 1977) earning his GED at a later date and also taking some college courses.

Early on he worked construction and other physically demanding jobs and was exceptionally strong. On occasion he was mistaken as Hulk Hogan. Tim worked various service jobs, in insurance, at the US Postal Service, and drove semi-trucks for many years. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and enjoyed target shooting. He loved Harleys and old cars. His greatest love was football, both professional and college ball.

He enjoyed rock picking and playing turkey bingo with his youngest son, Charlie. He spent time watching movies and enjoying burgers with his middle son, Brody. He and his oldest son, Jeremy, played many games of cribbage. And he spent time up North with his second oldest child, his daughter, Kijsa, and only grandson, August. He exchanged daily messages and videos to be closer to all his children and loved to talk about them whenever he could. Tim also enjoyed sharing early morning coffee and conversations with his neighbors Patti and Deb throughout the week.

He is survived by his four children, Jeremy Fiene, Kijsa (Jared) Irwin, Brody Fiene, Charlie Fiene; grandson, August Irwin; mother, Marion (Wayne) Kukuk; brother, Greg Fiene; and many cousins and other relatives.

Preceding Tim in death is his father, Kenneth Fiene; and uncle, Leroy Fiene.

The funeral service for Tim will be held on Friday, December 27, 2019, 1:00pm (visitation from 12-1pm) at the Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Grantsburg with Pastor Steve Ward officiating. Internment will follow at Union Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Grantsburg.
