In Memory of Thomas Lindquist
In Loving Memory of Thomas M. Lindquist
Thomas Matthew Lindquist, 62, of Cumberland, passed away peacefully at his home with his wife and family by his side, on July 5, 2021.
He was born on June 8, 1959 in Shell Lake, WI. to Keith and Margaret Lindquist.
He graduated from Cumberland High School, then went on to attend Eau Claire Technical College for Mechanics, and worked for the City of Cumberland Street Department retiring after 27 years of service to the community.
Tom could be found in a plow truck, the street sweeper, under the hood of a car, in a tree stand, on a boat fishing, or helping his family and friends. Among many of his qualities, the greatest of all was his heart of gold, he was always just a phone call away in a time of trouble, a shoulder, a rock, or a great conversation filled with laughter. Tom also enjoyed attending and watching racing. He was overwhelmed with happiness by spending time with his grandchildren near and far. He enjoyed telling stories of his memories with the people he loved and following in his fathers foot footsteps by teaching all of his trades to anyone willing to learn.
Tom was preceded in death by his father Keith Lindquist and granddaughters Julia and Sophia Barker. He is survived by his soul mate and wife Laura Lindquist of 25 years; his five children Jessica Lindquist, Joshua Lindquist, Michael Laursen , Joshua (Missa) Laursen and Jaclyn (Robert) Grinage, and seven grandchildren Alex Barker, Carter Grinage, Grace Grinage, Jude Laursen, Alivia Laursen, Blair Laursen and Viviana Laursen, and his siblings Peter (Kathi) Lindquist, John (Laura) Lindquist, Mary Lindquist, Kathleen (Rob) Duncan.
The family will have a gathering at a later date.
