Susan Jean Olson, age 65, of Birchwood, WI, died Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at her home.

She was born on November 6, 1959 in Mt. Horeb, WI to Herbert and Virginia (Foye) Haag. Susan graduated from Birchwood High School in 1978. She was married to Larry Olson on April 26, 1980. Susan worked as a home builder for 14 years with her father, uncle and brother and had worked for Quanex in Rice Lake for 14 years. Susan loved bowling, diamond painting, riding motorcycles and many other hobbies.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Olson of Birchwood; a son, Jeremy Olson (April Kaiser) of Cameron; 3 grandchildren, Andrew, Cora and Arthur Olson; 2 brothers, David Haag of Prairie Du Sac, WI and Dale (Colleen) Haag of West St. Paul, MN; a sister, Cynthia Dirkes of Rice Lake, WI; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Larry and Barb Cook of Hillsdale, WI, Don Olson of Chetek, JoAnn Robinson of Chetek, Jim and Sandy Olson of Cameron, Sonya Anderson of Rice Lake and Lorraine Soucek of Cameron; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Virginia Haag; father-in-law and mother-in-law, LaVern and Iola Olson; brothers-in-law, Gerald Olson, Eldon Olson, Daniel Dirkes, Gary Anderson; and uncle, Raphael Haag.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM Saturday, February 15, 2025 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Birchwood, WI, with Father Isaiah Schick officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the church.
