In Memory of Steven R. Koehn

October 14, 1955 - March 10, 2024

Steven Ray Koehn, my husband, our Dad and Grandpa, was born to Floyd and Elaine Koehn on October 14, 1955 in Hutchinson, Kansas.

He passed away March 10, 2024, due to surgical complications.

He grew up, working on the family farm, near Hesston, Kansas. As a young man, he committed his life to God and was baptized into the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite. His faith in God was meaningful to him throughout life.

On October 22, 1978, he married me, Gwendolyn Gail Toews, and we spent forty-five happy years together. We began our married life in Kansas, and after the first couple years, relocated to Barron, where we raised our family on a dairy farm. He loved the simple things of life. His family was precious to him.

He is survived by his loving wife Gwen; children, Mike (Jennifer) and Brent (Amberly), all of Barron, Rod (Janice) of Liberty, KY, Steph (Chad) Dirks of Danville, AR, and Roel (Brianne) of Barron; as well as sixteen grandchildren.

A visitation and funeral service will be held at Barron Mennonite Church. The visitation will be Thursday, March 14, from 4:00 until 7:00 PM and one hour prior to service which is on Friday, March 15 at 10:30 AM.

Arrangements are being handled by Rausch and Steel Funeral Home in Barron.
