In Memory of Stephanie J. Price

November 28, 1944 - November 6, 2024

Stephanie J. Price, age 79, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 6th, 2024 in Ridgeland, WI. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and a dear friend to many.

Born to Mae and Mike Richie in Hudson, WI on November 28th 1944, Stephanie would spend many a summer fishing along the banks of the St. Croix River with her brothers Dennis and Greg and her twin sister Suzanne. Later, she would move to Minnesota and meet Thomas S. Price of Wabasso, MN. They married and moved to Maryland to raise a family. In Maryland, Stephanie worked as a computer aided drafter for several years but her true passions were for her art, cooking and gardening. Stephanie produced many ornate stained-glass windows during her lifetime. She was also adept with pen and ink drawings. One drawing hangs in the Strathmore Museum's permanent collection.

If you were a friend, she invited you over and cooked for you. While known for her homemade spaghetti sauce, her talents in the kitchen were endless. She had twenty different ways to cook anything. Her greatest stress reliever was her gardens. She would spend hours outside shoveling mulch, lifting bags of topsoil and finding the perfect field stones to create a small paradise in her backyard. Stephanie and Thomas eventually retired back to Hudson. In early spring of 2017, Thomas passed away. A few years later, Stephanie would then meet Jerry Miller of Ridgeland, Wisconsin. He was kind, loving, and had a log cabin with a variety of animals which was everything she was looking for in a partner. She called her new home her “little piece of heaven.” She and Jerry shared many exciting adventures for the next three years. She was happy.

Stephanie is survived by her partner: Jerry Miller, her son: Allen, her daughter: Saleen, her grandchildren: Brigitte, Andre and Ethan, her brother: Greg, her twin sister: Suzanne, her cousins, and nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date in the spring. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Dallas & Cameron, WI.
