In Memory of Stanley K. Sveinsson

January 17, 1955 - February 10, 2023

Stanley K. Sveinsson, age 68, of Stone Lake, WI, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023, at Hayward Area Memorial Hospital.

He was born January 17, 1955, in Illinois, the son of Valdo and Maudie “Arlene” (Robinson) Sveinsson.

Stan owned and operated Custom Woodworking and Design in the Stone Lake area for 50 years.

Stan was a loving father, grandfather, partner, and friend. He will be remembered as a man of many talents- master carpenter, musician, and artist. For all Stan accomplished, some of the most important were his beautiful home, successful business, and finding the love of his life Diane, to help him realize his dreams. To know them was to admire them. To live such a dream realized, it must be built with the hands that we are given just as Stan did. He was a man who reminded us that a life well lived is worthy of celebration. That even in its struggles, generosity can be given and should. Lastly two simple things Stan’s father reminded him during his final days on this earth, “measure twice, cut once, and all things good are made of wood.

He is survived by his life partner, Diane Tucker of Stone Lake, WI; Betsy (Tom) Johnson of Milton, WI, Travis (Kari) Sveinsson of Edgerton, WI; his step-children, Lindsey (Jake) Hommer of Austin, TX and Samantha (Mitchell) Gesell of Alexandria, MN; his grandchildren, Codii, Blake, Brady, and Breῆa; his sisters, Beverly (Bill) Bensing, Dorene (Terry) Sveinsson, and Robin Sveinsson; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

There will be no services at this time.
