Stacy Marie Haynie Age 51, of Rice Lake, WI, died Thursday, November 23, 2023 in Rice Lake surrounded by her loving family due to cancer.

She was born on September 28, 1972 in Waukesha, WI to Gary and Mary Ann (Bader) Aklestad.

Stacy graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1991. She was married to Wayne Minkel in 1993 and they later divorced. Stacy farmed with Wayne, also worked at Farm and Fleet in Rice Lake, was a manager at Bargain Bill’s in Rice Lake and was also a caregiver. She loved traveling, riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, crafting, and loved being a grandma. She had a beautiful smile that would light up any room that she entered.

She is survived by her life partner of 14 years, Zach Kummet and his family, Riley (Jodi), Corrin, Ashton and Carter; her 2 precious sons, Austin Minkel (Hannah Moore) and Drew (Courtney) Minkel; 2 beautiful granddaughters, Brylee and Ava; her father, Robert Peterson (Debra Picknell); a brother, Aaron Peterson; and her dog, Mia.

She was preceded in death by brother, Chris Peterson and her maternal/paternal grandparents.

A celebration of her life will be held Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 4-7PM at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, with interment in Nora Cemetery in Rice Lake.
