In Memory of Shirley Myer
Shirley Ann Myer, 81, of Stone Lake, Wisconsin went to be with the Lord on July 8, 2019. She passed away in her home after years of suffering from Dementia.
She was born to Walter and Pearl (Lee) Borgen on August 20, 1937 in Baldwin, Wisconsin. Her family moved to Racine, Wisconsin where she graduated from Park high school. On June 6, 1959 she married Joseph Lawrence Myer at Zion Lutheran Church in Racine. They raised their family in Kenosha, Wisconsin. In 1988, they moved to Stone Lake, Wisconsin.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Joseph. One daughter, Annette (Charles) Rule and 2 sons, Allen (Theresa) Myer and Ken (Linda) Myer. 6 grandchildren, Gary Rule, Brian (Ashley) Rule, Emily (Justin Soeth) Rule, Michael Myer, Zachary Myer and Heather (Brian) White. 5 step grandchildren, Steve (Amy) Rule, Allison (Jeremy) Patterson, Aaron (Darian) Crump, Tyler Seifert and Sean Seifert and 2 great granddaughters, Caeli and Olivia. She is also survived by brothers Donald (Bonnie) Borgen and Wayne Borgen many nieces and nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson.
A memorial service will be held for Shirley on Friday, July 12, 2019 at 11:00 AM at First Lutheran Church in Stone Lake, WI with Reverend Ed Anderson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements were entrusted to The Hayward Funeral Home.
