January 28, 1945 - December 15, 2017

Shirley Miller, age 72, a lifelong resident of Spooner, died on Friday, December 15, 2017, at Essentia Health- St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth.

Shirley was born on January 28, 1945, in Sarona, Wisconsin to parents Harry and Marjorie (Nussberger) Seever.  She worked as a Nurse’s Aide at both the Spooner and Shell Lake Nursing Homes for many years.  On June 10, 1962, she was united in marriage to Elmer Zieroth Sr, and after his death, she married James B. Miller.  Shirley crocheted for many years, loved being outside where she fished and hunted deer, and loved her dogs.  She will be remembered as having a generous and loving heart. 

Shirley is survived by her children: Connie (Johnny) Moore  of Rice Lake, WI, Elmer (Betty) Zieroth of Spooner, WI, Eric (Tracey) Zieroth of Shell Lake, WI, 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 3 brothers, and 1 sister.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband Elmer, and brothers Merle and Dale.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 22, 2017 at 4:00 pm at the Spooner Funeral Home.
