Shirley Arlene Kucko Age 95, of Rice Lake, WI, died Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Dove Healthcare in Rice Lake with Marshfield Medical Center Rice Lake Hospice caring for her at the end.

She was born on November 4, 1925 in Rice Lake to Fred and Lydia (Nass) Gygli.

Shirley graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1944 and was married to the love of her life, Jerry Kucko on July 27, 1946 in Rice Lake. They owned and operated a dairy farm in the Township of Rice Lake for over 25 years. Everyone knew her as Grandma or Granny Puckett. She loved taking care of her children and grandchildren, gardening, cooking, camping, traveling, she enjoyed helping the kids with their FFA projects and loved taking care of the farm and animals.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Cindy Kucko; granddaughters, Brittany (Andrew) Schultz and Brooke Kucko; great grandsons, Finley Schultz and Connor Jensen; Additionally, she is survived by a daughter, Cindy (Ed) Pacholke; 3 sons, Dennis (Mary) Kucko, Richard Kucko, Michael (Sue) Kucko; 13 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Kucko; daughter-in-law, Marjorie Kucko; 4 sisters, Elaine Jerry, Marge Kruger, Dorothy Nieman and Marilyn Rust. Private

Family Funeral Services will be held at 11AM Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, Rev. Cody Kargus officiating, with interment in Nora Cemetery in Rice Lake. Public visitation will be held from 4-7PM Tuesday at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals.
