Sharon Mae Chism Age 74, of Rice Lake, WI, died Wednesday, September 14, 2022 in Rice Lake.

She was born on March 2, 1948 in Mattoon, Wisconsin to August and Joyce (O’Neill) Halbesleben.

Sharon graduated from Antigo High School and then worked for different manufacturing companies. She was married to Lonnie Chism on October 30, 1996 in Rice Lake. She loved all animals, her plants, her family was her most important thing in the world. Sharon spent so many hours and days at the Rice Lake Cat Coalition.

She is survived by husband, Lonnie Chism; 3 children, Richard Featherly, Denise (Troy) Holder and Arlette Adams; daughter-in-law, RaeAnn Featherly; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 3 siblings, Larry Halbesleben, Ivan Halbesleben and Debby (Rick) Nelson; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Dale Featherly; son-in-law, Dontate Adams Sr.; her parents, August and Joyce Halbesleben.

A celebration of life will be held from 4-7PM Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at the Rice Lake Senior Center.

Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake is assisting the family with the arrangements.
