In Memory of Ruth Dueholm
Ruth Delane Crane Dueholm, age 104 of Luck, WI passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Golden Age Manor in Amery, WI where she had been a resident for the past couple years.
Ruth was the last child born into a family of five brothers at Thanksgiving time on November 25, 1915 to Walter and Harriet (Hall) Crane in Bunyon, WI on the family farm near Georgetown. She attended grade school in Bunyon for seven years and graduated in 1932 from Milltown High School. On June 13, 1936, Ruth was united in marriage to Nels Dueholm at her folk’s home and the couple farmed and raised two sons in the same area. Ruth was a farm wife and was an important backbone to help the farm grow and become what it is today. Ruth belonged to the Homemakers of Bunyon, Polk County 4-H Club, was a surveyor for Gallop polls and when time permitted she was active with her church board. Before her eyesight and hearing started to diminish, Ruth enjoyed crossword puzzles, circle-a-words, Jeopardy, reading the newspaper, especially the cartoon “Marmaduke” and having many friends coming to visit. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Nels; son, Walter Dueholm; brothers, Stanley, Vincent, Warren, Vaemond, and Sherman and several nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her son, Lyn (Cristene) Dueholm; nieces and nephews; very special friends, Jim and Judy Glenna and Kelly and Mike Ince as well as other loving relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at a later date at Holy Trinity United Methodist Church, 1606 165th Ave., Centuria, WI. Burial will take place at the Balsam Lake Cemetery.
