In Memory of Russell Kelch
Russell “Con” Conrad Kelch Age 86, of Rice Lake, WI, died Monday, June 21, 2021 in Rice Lake.
He was born on May 3, 1935 in Markville, MN to Russell William and Louise Pearl (Bowen) Kelch.
Con attended school in Sandstone, MN and then entered the United States Army and was Honorably Discharged. He was married to Geraldine Johnson on September 19, 1959 in Tacoma, WA. Con worked for Northern Pacific Railroad, Great Northern Railroad and then Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad as a carmen and welder, also worked for a construction company. He enjoyed hunting, Star Trek, projects around the house, gardening, he could build anything, and loved being with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Kelch of Rice Lake; a son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Angie Kelch of Centuria, WI; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a brother, Bill (Glennda) Kelch of Blaine, MN; a sister, Pat Turner of Hinkley, MN; many nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his son, David Kelch; twin daughters, Maggee and Mollee Kelch; 2 brothers, Jerry and John Kelch; 2 sisters, Virginia Erickson and Sylvia Timmons.
Services will be held at a later date.
Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, WI is in charge of the arrangements.
