In Memory of Ruby Riewestahl
Ruby Arlene Riewestahl, age 95, of the Town of Sioux Creek, rural Chetek, WI died Monday, May 17th, 2021 at her home.
She was born December 24th, 1925 to Ole & Alice (Brewer) Sannes in Grand Rapids, MN.
On April 26th, 1947, she was married to Erwin Edward Louis Riewestahl at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Sand Creek, WI. She was now a member of New Hope Lutheran Church of Sand Creek where she was very active in the Women’s Groups & New Hope Comforters throughout the years. Ruby sewed many quilts & rolled bandages for Global Health Ministries. In addition to quilting, she enjoyed camping & spending time with her family & friends.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Erwin on February 11th, 2005, son: Elvin Riewestahl & brother: Kenneth Sannes.
She is survived by her sons: Daniel (Becky) Riewestahl of Altoona, Tim (Kit) Riewestahl of Chetek & Jay (Theresa) Riewestahl of Spring Valley, daughters: Arlys (David) Hoveland of Dallas & Jill (Don) Knegendorf of Chetek. Her legacy will be her family which also includes 19 grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 17 step-great grandchildren & 5 great great grandchildren. Also surviving is her brother: Boydean (Astrid) Sannes of Chetek, sister-in-law: Alice Sannes of Rice Lake, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, May 24th at New Hope Lutheran Church in Sand Creek with Rev. Michael Sparby officiating & interment following at Our Saviors Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Sand Creek. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Home in Dallas & also for the hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Dallas & Cameron.
