July 12, 1932  -  November 25, 2017

Rosemary P. Ferguson, age 85, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2017 at her residence in Evergreen Township near Spooner, WI.  She was born July 12, 1932 in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of William and Margaret (Carlson) Peterson.  She was united in marriage to Lyle Crescent Ferguson on March 3, 1950 at the United Methodist Church in Spooner.

Rosemary and Lyle lived in Genesee Depot, WI for the first 30 years together before moving back to the Spooner area.  Rosemary always stayed busy and was never one to let grass grow beneath her feet.  She was an avid flower and vegetable gardener and was involved with the Spooner Garden Club.  Rosemary and Lyle also enjoyed snowmobiling together and she was the secretary for the local snowmobile club. 

She is survived by her beloved husband, Lyle; her children, Judith Ann Dow of Spooner, William Lyle Ferguson of Palmyra, Melvin Jay (Kathy) Ferguson of Spooner and Donald Wayne Ferguson of Spooner; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren; her sister, Laurel Peterson of Spooner; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

In addition to her parents, Rosemary is preceded in death by her grandson, Jory; three brothers, Bill, Bob and David; and a sister, Peggy.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Spooner Funeral Home, 306 Rusk Street in Spooner, where visitation will be held from 3:00 P.M. until the hour of the service.  Pastor Jack Starr will officiate.  Interment will be held privately.
