In Memory of Rose Pumper

June 29, 1944 - February 22, 2021

Rose Marie Pumper, age 76, a resident of Webster passed away on February 22, 2021 after battling pancreatic cancer.

Rose was born on June 29, 1944 in Two Harbors, MN to George and Marion Carlson. She was a 1962 graduate of Two Harbors High School. In 1968, she moved to Savage, MN and got a job with Control Data where she worked 37 years. Later she moved to Ham Lake in Burnett County where she spent 13 years, before moving to Webster.

On August 3, 1968 she married Glenn A. Pumper and raised two children. She was quite the social butterfly and Thursday afternoons you would find her out to lunch and cocktails with a group of about 20 women. She enjoyed bowling at the Black and Orange Lanes and spent many years on league. Her Monday morning bowling team came up with their own cocktail, "Duck Fart". Many days and hours spent laughing, giggling and enjoyed each other's company.

Rose is survived by her husband, Glenn; children, Scott and Suzanne; grandchildren, Skylar, Lucas and Sidney Pumper; Maddie and Max Groshong; great grandchildren, Marley, Lucy Lu and Wyatt; her siblings, Jerry (Lorretta) Carlson, Adele (Paul) Sjoquist, Shirley (Roger) Simonson, Roberta (Doug) Sjostrom and Vickie (Jay) Ott.

Due to the current COVID restrictions, the family is planning to have a Celebration of Life later this summer. Once that date and time has been established, it will be posted on our website and submitted to the paper.
