In Memory of Ronnie M. Lee


June 9, 1952 - November 25, 2024

Ronnie Michael Lee, age 72, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024, at home surrounded by family.

Ronnie was born in Amery, WI on June 9, 1952, the fourth of 8 children to Walter V. and Fay (Gorres) Lee. Ronnie attended Wagon Landing School thru fifth grade and then went to Amery schools where he graduated from Amery High School in 1970. While in school he was on the wrestling team and a member of FFA, where he earned competition awards in machinery. After high school, Ronnie continued to help on the family farm & lived next door while he started his own family. In 1970, he married Sherry Gould, and they were blessed with four children, Ronda, Ryan, Rachelle, and Reggie. He was honored to pass his initials, RML, to all four children. This marriage later ended in divorce.

Ronnie worked at Lester’s building pole sheds and then went to work at Andersen Windows before following his passion and starting his own construction company. He was proud to of built his families first home and then later build his home where he still lived at the time of his death. Ronnie would later return to work at Andersen Windows before trying a new adventure of owning a bar. He bought the bar in Wanderoos and named it Shooters Bar. It was during this time of owning the bar that he developed his passion for golfing and enjoyed playing on many local courses and several out-of-state courses with family & friends.

After selling the bar, Ronnie returned to his passion of construction and woodworking. He was the family handyman and each of his children’s homes have Ronnie’s craftsmanship in them. Ronnie enjoyed hunting and the outdoors as well. During the 2023 deer season, Ronnie shot his biggest buck ever with the help of his son. Ronnie was a proud grandpa, too. Spending time in the football stands watching his grandson play, attending the Polk County Fair to see his granddaughters show their beef cattle and his grandson show pigs and woodworking projects.

He was preceded in death by his father, Walter “Bud” Lee; brother, Jon Lee; niece, Ashley Knutson; and brother-in-law, Raymond Nadeau.

Ronnie is survived by his mother, Fay; children, Ronda (Bernie) Ohmann, Ryan Lee, Rachelle (Jeremy Wood) Helin, Reggie (Kirsten Konder) Lee; grandchildren, Renee Lee, Beau (Brooke) Helin, Rayna Lee, Chevelle Lee, Arianna Lee, and Grant Lee; three step-grandchildren; one great-granddaughter and one step-great-grandson; brother, Wayne (Emilie) Lee and sisters, Linda Nelson, Diane (Art) Gamache, Nila (Wendel) Knutson, Terry Nadeau, and Sara (Bob) Anderson; along with many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the Amery Golf Course from 2:00 to 6:00 pm.  A private family burial will be held at Wagon Landing Cemetery at a later date.
