Ronald William Wilda Age 71, of Rice Lake, WI, died Friday, February 2, 2024 at Amery Memory Care from complications from Dementia.

He was born on August 19, 1952 in Rice Lake to Calvin and Betty (Taylor) Wilda.

Ron grew up in Rice Lake and attended Rice Lake High School. He was married to Connie (Effertz) Borgen in 1971 and later divorced. Ron started working at Barron County Highway Department right out of high school. He then had his own carpenter business building several houses in the Rice Lake area and worked for the township of Rice Lake for many years.

He is survived by his daughter, Rhonda (Matt) Craker; his favorite granddaughter, Brooke Craker; 2 great grandchildren, Alex and Allie; a sister, Wendy (Walt) Stroik; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, Wesley; his parents, Calvin and Betty Wilda.

A private family memorial service is being held. Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake is serving and assisting the family with the arrangements.
