Ronald Sherman Stewart, age 81 of Comstock passed away peacefully at his home on September 20, 2024 with his wife, son, and pup by his side after a long, courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma. He was born and raised in Bogus Valley (Stockholm) WI on April 29, 1943 to Oscar and Elva (Lewis) Stewart. There he grew up helping on the family dairy farm.
He was married on October 15, 1966 at Zion Lutheran Church in Mondovi, WI to Sally Breiter. Together they had two sons, Ryan and Todd.
Ron worked as a welder for numerous companies, finally retiring from Thomas & Betts Corp. When he wasn't working, Ron could be found hunting on the family farm in Bogus Valley, fishing up North, and camping with his family and extended family. He also stayed busy around the house, tending to the tomatoes and potatoes in his garden, and tinkering in the shop. He was especially proud of the log home which he helped build, and lived in until the time of his passing.
He is survived by wife, of 59 years, Sally Stewart; son, Todd Stewart; siblings, Rose, Ruth, Phyllis, Elvin, Carl, Clifford, Theresa, Victoria, Mark; and last, but not least, his four legged buddy, Pepper.
Ron was preceded in death by his infant son, Ryan Lee Stewart; parents, Oscar and Elva (Lewis) Stewart; and three brothers, Jack, Oscar Jr., and Roger.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the St. Croix Hospice team, especially Leona, RN and Terianna, CNA, as well as Dr. Schultz, and the on call personnel. They would also like to thank the Cumberland Hospital oncology nurses, Deb and her staff, and the Mayo Clinic Healthcare system.
There are no services planned at this time, per Ron's wishes.
