In Memory of Ronald R. Temple

December 18, 1939 - September 1, 2023

Ronald Roy Temple, our beloved husband, father, and grandfather was born December 18, 1939 to Harry and Helen (Litwiller) Temple in Newton Square, PA.

On September 1, 2023 at the age of 83, he peacefully left this world in Barron.

As a young boy, his family moved to Middleton, MI where he grew up and received his formal education. On September 11, 1960, he married our mother, Janice Schneider. In 1967, they moved to Barron, where they raised their family on a dairy farm. In 2003, he sold the farm to his oldest son and began driving truck.

His grandchildren were his joy and each one held a special place in his heart. Dad was a friend to man. He had a generous, soft heart, and would quietly help people wherever he saw a need. A highlight in his later years was giving children rides on his train at the local farmers market. They called him the “Train Man”.

Our dad has left us with many precious memories that we will always treasure. His time to leave came much sooner than expected but we look forward to meeting him in that heavenly home someday.

He leaves to mourn his passing: His loving wife, Janice; children, Rhonda, Jackie and Keven, Tom and Val, and Matthew (all of Wisconsin); ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild, and one step-great-grandchild; sister, Elma Florian of Shepard, MI; brother, Duane and Corliss Temple of Middleton, MI; brothers-in-law, Alvin and Erla Schneider of Ithaca, MI, Verle and Ruby Schneider of Louisville, GA, Glenn and Helena Schneider of Leesburg, OH, Wendell and Linda Schneider of Ithaca, MI; sister-in-law, Mavis and Noah Kanagy of Murray, KY; and one special brother-in-law, Newell Mininger of Barron.

He was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law; a brother; a brother-in-law, a sister-in-law and three infant siblings.

A funeral service will be held at the Barron Mennonite Church in Barron on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 5, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the church and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday morning.

Arrangements are being handled by Rausch and Steel Funeral Home in Barron.
