In Memory of Ronald J. Durch


Ronald J. Durch, “Whiskey Joe” of Rice Lake, passed away on July 20th at the age of 79 years young.

He was preceded in death by his parents Anthony and Margaret (Coffee) Durch from Bloomer, his grandparents, numerous aunts and uncles, his past wives Lynn (Albee) Durch, Laurie (Doyle) Durch, Betty (Andersen) Durch, and Deanna (Staves) Durch, his son, Anthony (Cori) Durch, his nephew, Eric Bleskacek, and his beloved Shih tzu, Crickett.

Ron drove a semi truck across the country for nearly forty years and could give you directions to almost any place in the United States by memory. He loved hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles

He is survived by his daughter, Ronda (Brian) Walsh; sister, Joan (Delano) Bleskacek; grandchildren: Shannon Walsh and Annie (Tyler) Hair; adopted grandchildren: Alex and Abrianna Durch; niece Lori (Jim) Price, nephew Brian (Laura) Bleskacek, multiple cousins; many other family and friends and his beloved Shih tzu, Shiloh.

The family would like to thank all of those who were so supportive over the past year or longer, especially his neighbor Gary Soviak, his hospice nurses Lindsay and Jennifer, his hospice social worker, Christine, and his friend Sharon who will be adopting his beloved dog. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 28th, at St. Joseph Church, 111 W Marshall St., beginning with visitation at 1:00 PM and a Memorial Service at 2:00 PM.
