In Memory of Ronald D. Loberg

May 14, 1939 - January 25, 2024

Ronald David Loberg, Sr. passed away peacefully January 25, 2024 at the age of 84 with his family by his side.

Ronald “David” was born to the late Christian and Laura Loberg, on May 14, 1939, at their home in Marshall County, South Dakota.

He grew up on a farm and was one of 16 children. He attended country school until 8th grade, at which time he began working as a ranch hand. Ronald “David” had a variety of jobs throughout his life. He worked at Ranches in Montana, South Dakota and Iowa. He worked construction, garbage collector, assembly, and cabinet installation. He was proud of his work ethic.

On September 21, 1961 he married the love of his life, Carole Andersen. Together they raised a daughter, Joan, and two sons, Ronald Jr. and Patrick. He and Carole spent 58 loving years together until she passed on October 5, 2019. He was best known for his kind soul and friendly demeanor. All he needed was someone to visit with coffee, Copenhagen, and beer. He never met a stranger and he was loved by all who met him, young and old. He always saw the good in people, even if no one else could see it. He was very proud of his family and leaves behind many good memories

Ronald “David” is survived by his three children, Joan Boyce (Darrel), Ronald Jr. (Renee), and Patrick (Samantha), 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson, 4 brothers, 2 sisters, 4 brother in-laws, 7 sister in-laws, and many nieces and nephews and their families.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carole, his parents and in-laws, 9 siblings, and many friends and extended family. We are sure he was welcomed home in style.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Williamson-White Funeral Home in Amery, WI. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. The interment will be in Viborg, South Dakota on a date yet to be determined.
