Ronald "Ron" David Henck, 77, of Turtle Lake passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at his home. He was born March 15, 1947 to Herbert and Naomi (Jorgenson) Henck.

Ron grew up in Turtle Lake and graduated from Turtle Lake High School Class of 1965. He remained in his home town his entire life.

After school, Ron went to work with his dad Pat at Lampert Yards in Turtle Lake. During this time, he enlisted into the Army National Guard, which he served in for six years. After returning from his service he married Paula Schramski. A few years later, he welcomed a daughter Sheila. During their time together, he was a known hardworker - hauling milk and delivering lumber for Lamperts. For many years he served as a member of the St. Ann Council, and, additionally, Ron operated a small engine repair business, which he enjoyed immensely and was very talented at.

Ron loved connecting with people, whether that be visiting with the clients he was delivering lumber to, the lengthy phone calls he would make to his relatives and friends, or bonding with his wife, his daughter, son-in-law, grandkids, brothers, nieces and nephews. He always had a way of putting a smile on their face.

Family was an important pillar in Ron's life. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He showed it by his love and patience with his family. Justin and his "Gramp" especially had a close bond. He will be extremely missed. He always took the time to visit his relatives, as well as his in-laws. Paula will miss the long car rides they shared, and was always content as long as they could simply be "together". Last, but not least, he had quite the affection for Snoopy the dog, and his grand dogs.

Ron's friendly and kind nature will be missed more than words can describe.

He leaves behind his wife, of 56 years, Paula (Schramski); daughter, Sheila (Brad) Quall; grandchildren, Justin, Gabriella, and Khloe Quall; brothers, Tom (Cindy) Henck and Jeff Henck; brothers and sisters-in law, Laurie Hughes, Coleen Donath, Mary Jo Schramski, Joseph Schramski, and Tim Meyer; his four-legged friend, Snoopy; and many friends and extended family.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Naomi Henck, and his brother-in-law, Steven Schramski.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at St. Ann Catholic Church in Turtle Lake with Fr. Jayanna Kanna officiating. Burial will be in St. Ann Catholic Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers are Pat Henck, Brad Quall, Ashton Henck, Justin Quall, Tom Henck, and Jeff Henck.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM on August 27 at St. Ann's, prior to the funeral Mass.
