Roger Michael Hover, age 70, of New Auburn, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at his home.

Roger was born on May 8, 1950 in Rice Lake to Harold and Harriet (Austin) Hover.

He married Marylin Lake on August 22, 1970, which was 50 years in August.

Roger worked at Jerome Foods, drove trucks and many other jobs. In the 90’s he broke his leg and retired.  Roger also played softball and basketball for the Special Olympics, he took the Bucs too many golds.

Roger is survived by his wife, Marylin of New Auburn; sons, Sam (Liza) McBride of Elk Mound, Adam (Kat) Hover of Holcombe and Kristen (Casey) Hover of Menomonie; 4 grandchildren; brothers, Dick Hover of Cumberland, Gary Hover of Rice Lake, Carl Hover of Cameron and Eugene Hover of Comstock; sisters, Brenda Sewert and Barbara Mathews, both of Rice Lake.

He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Corie; 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

A funeral service for Roger Hover will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hillsdale Baptist Church in Hillsdale with Rev. Chris Baker officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday morning. aBurial will be at a later date at the Northern Wisconsin Veteran’s Cemetery in Spooner.

Arrangements are being handled by Rausch and Steel Funeral Home in Barron.
