Roger C Postl, 78, of Gordon, WI passed away Tuesday Sept 4, 2018 at home of pulmonary fibrosis and heart failure.

He was born Sept 20, 1939 at Shell Lake Hospital to Allie and Lilah (Devenport) Postl of Minong, WI. He graduated from Minong High School. 

Over his lifetime he worked for Norm Adams, Link Bros, the WI Hwy Dept. and became a Boilermaker (welder) in 1962, where he traveled with his wife Claudia and their 3 children for 8 years. He settled in Gordon the fall of 1971. With the help of family and friends he built his home. Roger was very active in the community. He loved helping others with repairs, welding and many other projects. He was an avid fisherman, jokester and a great story teller.

Roger is survived by his wife Claudia (Mix) of 59 years. Sons: Keith (Beth) Postl of Gordon, Kevin (Jackie) Postl of Green Bay and daughter: Karen (Mark) Livingston of Arkansas. Grandchildren: Chantal Beerntsen, Shane Postl, Matthew and Nathaniel Kurowicki, Justin, Joe (Diane) and Jason Postl. Great-grand children: Ella Postl, Claire Beerntsen, Michael and Katie Kurowicki, Aubrey Postl and Rebel Postl. Brother: Kermit (aka Gub, Whitey) (wife Laurane) Postl and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents and sisters: Eileen Slinker, JoAnne Adams and foster Sister Carole (Waite) Moran.

We would like to thank our amazing family, friends and community for their visits and phone calls during his last six months. We know it meant the world to him. Also, Regional Hospice of Hayward for their kindness.

Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM Saturday, Sept 15, 2018 at the Gordon Town Hall on Cty Rd Y followed by a Celebration of Life with Rev H. Duane Aslyn presiding, at 10:30 AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to: Regional Hospice Services 1913 Beaser Ave, Ashland, WI 54806. Burial will be at a later date.
