In Memory of Roger Andren

March 2, 1953 - July 31, 2020

Roger Andren, a current resident of Shell Lake and longtime resident of Solon Springs, died on Friday, July 31, 2020, at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

Roger was born on March 2, 1953, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to parents Norman and Jacquelyn (Jorgenson) Andren.  While a child, they moved to Solon Springs where he graduated from St. Croix High School, the Class of 1971.  After graduation, he took a job in manufacturing in the Twin Cities until moving back to Solon Springs when he was married to Dixie Priem in December of 1971 in Solon Springs.  He had several short-term jobs until becoming a logger for Mosinee Paper and later an over-the-road truck driver for the majority of his working years.  In his spare time, Roger enjoyed the quieter things in life such as fishing, playing cards, watching western movies, but most of all spending time with his family – especially his dad and uncles.  He will be remembered as a loving, simpler man with a heart of gold.

Roger is survived by his children:  daughter Patricia Andren and her two children, Haley and Wyatt, of Solon Springs, WI, son Donald (Hope Staten) of Superior, WI, and son Gary Andren of Bennett, WI; brothers and sisters:  Steven Andren of Solon Springs, WI, Cheryl (John) Meller of Bennett, WI, Tracy (Rick) Salveson of Solon Springs, WI, Scott Andren of Solon Springs, WI, and Troy (Jolene Ellis) Andren of Superior, WI.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents Norman and Jacquelyn Andren.

A private graveside service at the Evergreen Cemetery in Solon Springs will be held at a later date.
