In Memory of Roger Anderson
Roger Lewis Anderson, 83, of Cumberland died Wednesday, August 14, 2019, at Care and Rehab-Cumberland. He was born August 10, 1936, in Rice Lake, WI to Alfred and Edla (Berg) Anderson. He was married in Cumberland, WI on November 22, 1958, to Nancy (Riebe).
Roger was a dedicated farmer and was a talented woodworker. In his spare time, Roger enjoyed deer hunting at his hunting cabin, tinkering in his wood shop and restoring his tractors. He took great pride in his work. Roger enjoyed a good laugh and a joke every now and then. The time spent with his grandchildren were memories that he held dear. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; children: Brian (Cathy) Anderson, Shelly (Norm) Nelson, Julie (Ken) Lemke; grandchildren: Jenna (Chris) Weber, Andrew Nelson, Kevin Nelson, Ben (Katie) Anderson, Mitchell Anderson and McKenzie Lemke; great-grandchildren: Emma and Evelyn Weber, Claire and Wyatt Anderson; mother-in-law: Lucille Riebe; and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by parents, Alfred and Edla Anderson; and father-in-law, Harold Riebe.
A memorial service will be held at 4 PM Saturday, August 17, 2019, at Skinner Funeral Home - Cumberland with Rev Tim Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Honorary pallbearers are Jenna Weber, Andrew Nelson, Kevin Nelson, Ben Anderson, Mitchell Anderson and McKenzie Lemke.
