In Memory of Roberta Chido
Roberta “Tiny” Chido, age 98, a longtime resident of Spooner, died on Thursday, May 23, 2019, at the Maple Ridge Care Center in Spooner.
Roberta was born on December 14, 1920, in Cumberland, Wisconsin, to parents Wayne and Alice (Myrick) Gilbert. She was united in marriage to Lawrence Chido on September 13, 1945, in Pine City, Minnesota. She worked the JC Penny store in Spooner for many years, and was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Spooner.
Tiny is survived by her son Thomas (Mary) Chido of Spooner, daughter Patti (Hub) Haskins of Spooner, grandchildren: Tommy (Vicki) Chido of Spooner, Jason (Kristy) Haskins of Hudson, WI, Zeppi (Darci) Chido of Spooner, Aaron (Michelle) Haskins of Hudson, WI, Nate (Katrina) Haskins of Spooner, 14 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, and several nephews, nieces, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Lawrence, her brothers and sisters.
Funeral services for Roberta “Tiny” Chido will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at 4pm, at the Spooner Funeral Home with Fr. Bala as Celebrant. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 3-4pm at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Spooner Veterans Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Tommy Chido, Zeppi Chido, Aaron Haskins, Hub Haskins, Jason Haskins, and Nate Haskins.
