Robert “Bob” Rettenmund Age 74, of Rice Lake, WI, died Saturday, December 3, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on June 12, 1948 in Rice Lake to Melvin and Anna (Moreau) Rettenmund.

Bob graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1966, attended UW Superior and worked for Northwest Builders in Rice Lake for 45 years. He was married to Gwen Blaylock on April 7, 1973 in Rice Lake. He loved nature, being outdoors, fishing, hunting, trapping and spending time at his cabin with his family and friends. Bob was a quiet man but his presence will live in us forever.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Gwen Rettenmund; 2 daughters, Jodi Rettenmund (Mike Wessman) and Anna (Jeff) Waters; 3 granddaughters, Lily, Elise and Eve; a sister, Debra (Ron) Koch; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin Rettenmund and Anna (Norman) Cox.

Funeral Services will be held at 11AM Thursday, December 15, 2022 at United Methodist Church in Rice Lake, Rev. Susan Oeffler officiating.

Visitation will be held from 4-7PM Wednesday, December 14 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals and for one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
