In Memory of Robert Greener
Robert Eugene Greener, 78, of Cumberland died Monday, March 18, 2019 in Bonita Springs, FL. He was born June 28, 1940 in Clam Falls, WI to Robert and Corrine (Ebner) Greener, and graduated from Frederic High School in 1958. He was married in St. Mary's Catholic Church on May 29, 1959 to Judy Paffel. Bob milked cows for several years for Bob Ricci, then drove a milk route for Roy Riebe. He managed the Harmon Auto Parts Store in Cumberland, then moved to Mayville to manage Miller Auto Parts. Bob then worked 17 years for Jones Dairy Farm in Fort Atkinson while operating a livestock farm of his own before joining Greener Realty, Inc. as both a broker and a builder. He retired in 1999 then moved to Cumberland in 2004, and have spent many winters in Florida. Bob was an accomplished gardener, enjoyed spending time restoring his 1927 Paige. He was a talented woodworker and has made many fast track game boards. His collectibles included pewter pieces, Snow Babies, Department 56 and Dickens Villages.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judy; 3 sons: Scott (Jane) Greener of Marion, IA, William Greener of Fort Atkinson and Robert J. (Kristine) Greener of Chippewa Falls; 3 granddaughters: Chelsea, Samantha and Sabrina; siblings: Marvin (Gaynice) Greener, Rayola (Mike) Sparish, Glenn (Kathy) Greener and Bonnie Greener; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, March 23 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Cumberland, with visitation for one hour prior and burial to follow at Lakeside Cemetery. Rev. John Miels will serve as minister. Pallbearers will be Brian Paffel, Steve Paffel, Chad Sparish, Pat Monchilovich, Charlie Greener and John McGillis.
