In Memory of Robert B. Armstrong
Robert Bruce Armstrong, 90, of Turtle Lake passed away at his home on Monday, August 12, 2024. He was born January 20, 1934 in St. Paul, MN to Marvin and Lydia (Haefner) Armstrong.
Bob was raised in St. Paul and attended St. Patrick Elementary School and graduated from Cretin High School in 1952.
Soon after high school, he enlisted in the US Army. He was a proud Korea Era Veteran, spending most of his enlistment in Germany.
Bob was married at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in St. Paul, MN on August 27, 1960 to Anne Kittelson. Together they had four sons, David, Jerome, Thomas and Timothy.
His working career began at the MN Highway Department, and later he would work for Molin Concrete, MacArthur Company, Midwest Distributing, and finally, the MN State Fair, where he retired after 25 years.
Bob and Anne retired to Turtle Lake, WI in 1999. After moving to Turtle Lake, he spent many hours volunteering at St. Ann’s Catholic Church.
He is survived by wife, Anne (Kittelson) Armstrong (married 64 years); children, David (Janell), Jerome, Thomas, and Timothy Armstrong; grandchildren, Stephanie, Heather, Samantha, John, Taylor, Noah and Nicholas; great-grandchildren, Brookston, Vincent, Atticus, and Levi.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Lydia (Haefner) Armstrong.
Funeral services will be held at St. Ann Catholic Church on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 11 AM with Fr. Jayanna Kanna officiating. Interment will be held at St. Ann Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 16, 2024 from 6 - 8 PM at Skinner Funeral Home, 260 Industrial Blvd. Turtle Lake, WI 54889; and one hour prior the service at church.
Skinner Funeral Home of Turtle Lake is serving the family.
