Richard “Rick” Miller Age 76, of Rice Lake, WI, died Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at his home after battling cancer since June 2022.

He was born on July 13, 1947 in Rice Lake to Donald and Dorothy (Snyder) Miller.

He graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1965 and then entered the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War and was later Honorably Discharged. Rick was married to Patricia “Pattye” Feidt on November 15, 1969 in Almena, WI. He was a firefighter for over 34 years for the Rice Lake Fire Department and also worked for Lamperts Lumber for 50 years. Rick loved to work and was always ready to help anyone with anything. He loved to shoot pool, drink beer and talk smart. He told really good jokes that got longer and funnier each time he told them.

He is survived by his wife, Pattye Miller; 3 children, Jodi (Karl) Klare, Kelly Miller (Candie Jones) and Mandi Miller; his kitties, Benjamin and Gracie; 3 grandsons, Jonas, Carter and Sawyer; 7 fur grand babies; a sister, DonAthy (Jim) Nicholson; a stepsister, Gloria (Kent) Paulsen; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Dorothy Miller; and his stepmother, Winnie Miller. He loved his family! His family loves him! We will all miss him!!

Funeral Services will be held at 6:30PM Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, with interment in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI at 10AM Thursday, November 2, 2023. Visitation will be held from 4-7PM Wednesday at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake.
