Richard J. King, age 77, of Sarona, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2017. Richard was born in Grantsburg, WI on October 22, 1939 to Jay and Carol (Wilson) King. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his free time. After serving in the United States Air Force, Richard worked in the printing trade and was a member of the Graphic Communications Union. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge #165 in Minnehaha, MN.

Richard is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marie (Powers) King; a son, Jay King; a daughter, Taramarie (Jason) Meashaw; three grandchildren, Jay, Zanna, and Sydney; two sisters, Jacquelyn Holm and Lynne Wohlhuter; one brother, Donald King; many nieces, nephews, other close relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

There will be a memorial service at Spooner Funeral Home on Saturday, March 18, 2017. Visitation will be from 3PM until the time of service beginning at 4PM with Pastor Tim Young officiating. A luncheon will take place at Butternut Hills Golf Course immediately following the service.
