March 5, 1948 - August 30, 2017

Richard Gordon Bartlett, age 69, of Spooner, passed away on August 30, 2017, at Maple Ridge Care Center in Spooner.

Richard was born on March 5, 1948 in St. Paul, Minnesota to parents Gordon and Evelyn (Suiter) Bartlett.  He graduated from Harding High School in 1966 and from the St. Paul Area Technical Vocational Institute in graphic arts in 1968.  In 1968 Richard entered the Marine Corps and was honorably discharged as a sergeant in 1971.

Richard worked as a printer.  He enjoyed hunting with his son, swapping cooking tips with his daughter-in-law Natalie, and hearing updates on his grandchildren.

Richard is survived by his son Jeffrey (Natalie) of Rogers, Arkansas; his three grandchildren Lily, Lucas, and Melody, and his brother-in-law Dick Benson.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Arlene Benson.

A luncheon in Richard’s honor will be held on Sunday, September 17, 2017 from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm at Tony’s Riverside in Spooner.  Memorials may be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project.
